Random Poetry?

Trapped within yesterday
Fighting to survive today
Fraught with pain and fear
While trying to find tomorrow
Hoping for healing and peace
The broken princess stays her throne
Braving the empty
Yearning for more
Showing no one what lurks
Behind her mask and under her facade
The weight of the crown and mantle
The expectations
Cripple her with their weight
But she stumbles forward
Afraid to need or require
That which she does not allow
The warmth of a touch
The safety of loving arms
The look of intense desire
The wish for happiness
All better locked away
Where they do no harm
She shifts the curtain back into place
Leaving the cold shell chosen
As her visage, her veil
And protection
Facing an unwelcoming world
And remaining invisible
